This was a redesign project for Chesapeake Boats, Inc. The requirement was to create a new site, not for charter boat captains, but one to help market this custom boat building service. The service area for Chesapeake Boats is not limited to the Chesapeake Bay and charter boat captains — their custom built boats can be found throughout the East Coast, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, the Virgin Islands, Ohio and Oregon.

 

In this redesign my main focus was search engine optimization. I wanted to create a site with clean code and search engine friendly text while concentrating on keyword density. The original design concept was changed a few times to better fit the desires of the representative for Chesapeake Boats, Inc. Once we worked through the designs to come up with the finished look and feel the customer had this to say “Jim, the site looks great.”

 

Captain Jim offers Maryland’s best in Chesapeake Bay charter fishing, fishing tournaments, striper and trophy rockfish charters. He is one of the best charter boat captains on the Chesapeake Bay. Miss Linda Charters offers fishing charters from the Rod ‘N’ Reel docks on Maryland’s beautiful and bountiful Chesapeake Bay in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. Miss Linda can accommodate from 1 to 21 for your Chesapeake Bay charter fishing adventure. However, most of the charter fishing parties taken aboard the Miss Linda find that they are most comfortable with 10 people or less. The “Miss Linda” is a 40 foot Bay-Built designed for charter fishing. She is diesel powered for safety and performance. Reel Attitude is a Charter Fishing Boat which docks at the Rod-n-Reel Club in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, just 45 minutes from Baltimore or Washington, DC. Chesapeake Bay Charter Fishing includes light tackle fishing for Maryland Rockfish, Striped Bass, Sea Trout, Bluefish, Croaker, Flounder and Black Drum. The Reel Attitude Charter Fishing Boat accommodates up to 28 passengers, although smaller parties tend to be more fun for everyone! Captain Mike Shaffner’s Proud Mary Charters at one point provided the best Chesapeake Bay charter fishing out of Chesapeake Beach, MD. The Proud Mary was located at the docks behind Abner’s Crab House in Chesapeake Beach. Mike has since retired and sold the Proud Mary, but you can still find him from time to time captaining other Chesapeake Bay boats when their charter boat captains need a break.

 

You’ve probably already discovered the great sport fishing opportunities available on the Chesapeake Bay.
